How many different characters can it produce?
945,000 unique combinations: 30 species, 30 traits, 30 quirks, and 35 names. Even generating one character every day, you would never exhaust the space.
Can I lock one part and reroll the rest?
Not yet — each click draws all four parts fresh. Copy the parts you like before rerolling, or use the CSV download to save a combination you want to keep.
What counts as a species in this generator?
The pool mixes fantasy staples like elves, dwarves, orcs, and fairies with modern options like humans and robots, so results fit fantasy, sci-fi, and contemporary settings alike.
Is this useful for tabletop NPCs?
Yes. The trait-plus-quirk pair gives you something to roleplay immediately, and the related D&D encounter generator can supply the fight to go with your new NPC.
How does no-repeats work with so many combinations?
It stores each full name-species-trait-quirk combination you generate and retries up to 50 times to avoid an exact match, so duplicates are effectively impossible in practice.
